Chicago the capital of Illinois is one important and growing city of the USA. It has a historical background having its roots in the World Conference of Religion held in the city almost about a hundred years ago. The city is famous for its diverse cultures and background with a Pan American spread throughout. The Great Lakes and the Mississippi River have added a touch of beauty to this beautiful city. The importance of the city can be found out from the fact that right since it was built around the year 1833; the city has been a major industrial center with dozens of industries setting their base in this city. This has added to the fast-paced growth of the city and the state of Illinois has seen a rapid expansion as well thanks to Chicago.

The Great Lakes and the Mississippi River have given Chicago a clear edge over other cities as far as the natural flora and fauna is concerned. The Willis Tower of Chicago, which was once reputed to be the tallest building in the world with more than 108 floors and built around 1973, still remains the top attraction of human achievements in technology and science. Though a number of other buildings have come up higher than the Willis Tower also known as the Sears Tower, the awe and amazement with which this masterpiece is looked at today still remains a wonder in the heart of most Chicagoans and proud citizens of Illinois. Illinois is the state to be if you happen to anchor your oars in America given the beautiful climate and the weather conditions that surround the state. Nature has indeed been more than biased towards this little state of the United States with sprawling wide lakes and great watersheds around which a city has come up. The residents of Chicago do consider themselves to be lucky in living around such a great city. Illinois with its reputed University and education facilities have been on the rapidly growing graph and the support of the district administration has been noteworthy in making Illinois what it is today.
