A USA map will show over 9 million km² of landmass and 50 states and territories. Forty-eight of the states are connected in one ladmass. Alaska is a peninsula found to the west of the Canada which is to the north of America. Hawaii is a group of islands found in the Pacific Ocean and has a polynesian history. The USA share its land boarders with 2 other countries, Canada and Mexico in the south.

We will take a quick trip south through the USA geogrphy regions starting at the very top. Alaska is wild and untamed, with huge mountain outcrops and flat icy plains. There are 5 great lakes in the north east, 4 of which share the boarder with Canada and includes Niagara Falls. West of center running through the counrty are the Rocky Mountains reaching from Canada nearly to Mexico. West of the Rocky's are deserts and arid plateaus leading out to warm and sunny California after crossing The Grand Canyon and Las Vegas along the way. The south east coast is mostly low terrain that gets warmer and more tropical the lower south you go. Florida has mangroves, swamps and everglades that are affected by tidal flows. The gulf of the United States is flat also and the occasional cyclone will rip through the region with nothing to stop it.
